1st & 2nd class had a very enjoyable visit to the library. Story teller, Pat Ryan, entertained us with many of his stories. He said he has about 600 stories in his head and he loves sharing them with children and adults. Also he told us riddles which we had to solve! Thank you to Drogheda library for inviting us to the story telling. It was great!
The Texaco Art Competition can be seen in the Highlanes Gallery. Hilary Kelly gave us a tour of the gallery and we were able to spend some time looking around on our own as well. It was great to see the variety of pictures in the gallery. Some of them are amazing. Now it is our turn to try out our talents at home and at school!
On 1st October 1st & 2nd classes visited the Highlanes Gallery to see the award winning art from the Texaco Art Competition. We were very proud to see Megan’s picture in the exhibition, but a little bit disappointed that Alison’s picture was not on show. Hilary Kelly showed us around the exhibition and then we has an opportunity to create our own works of art! Have a look at some of our pictures on our gallery page.
