Chess Success

St. Peter’s N.S. Chess Team has won the Annual Drogheda Primary Schools Chess League 2008. Over the last few months the school team has played Scoil Pio, Knockcommon, St Patrick’s N.S., Monasterboice and Cartown N.S., Termonfeckin and Scoil Aonghusa and has end the league with a total of 15.5 points out of 20. The official presentation will take place in the Boyne Valley Hotel later this month.
Andrew Thompson has done great work with the Chess Club members again this year and the school chess awards will be presented at the End of Year Service in June.
